Excavation Support For Parking Garage Expansion

In this example the General Contractor had to maintain traffic flow on the parking structure ramp during an expansion of the parking garage. Chemical grout was utilized to permeate the soil providing the structural support for vehicular traffic on the ramp and facilitated adjacent excavation for the installation of the new footings for the expansion.

Sheet piling would not work because it would have created a conflict with the new footing location, thus chemical grout was specified by the design Engineer.
